The north portion of the runway, south apron and main apron. No airport buildings are found in the photo except the unused fire station in the middle. The former "Airport Hotel" (now renamed) is still here, so as the checkerboard hill. The areas under the IGS approach path are now occupied by high-rise blocks. [Canon S3IS ISO80 f6.3 1/125s]

There is still a little bit of the strip left, should be good for a touch and go :). Would have been great to have kept a small General Aviation or Business Aviation airport alive.
