A visitor from - posted Tue July 1, 2008: The contrast of sleek clean and powerful jetliners and rickety slum buildings is quite amazing. In a romantic sense one could imagine a child raised in these slums becoming captain of one of those jets in the future. Realism is not so poetic though... this photo shines light on the divide between have and have nots in this modern world. Five stars without a doubt.

A visitor from - posted Fri September 14, 2007: What I really like about this shot is the juxtaposition of the shiny aircraft with the shanty town settlements in the foreground. The airport has changed a great deal since I was in India in 1967, but the shanty towns along the roads to the airport are still fresh in my memory. That notwithstanding, I still harbor a strong desire to visit your beautiful and extraordinary country again. Thanks for the photo - and the memories.
