Interesting, at their website Sudan's CAA mentions 'HSGA' as ICAO-code for El Geneina in West-Darfur. Also, the website states there are two runways paved with concrete, which might not the case for the shorter runway. Mid-2007 an Egyptian company was constructing a new airport -a bit further out of town- with a tarmac runway.

Fantastic shot. Having lived in Sudan, I have been to that very airport. Unfortunately, my camera was not upto scratch at the time. Perhaps some pictures from El Obeid will be nice too.
