The legendary aerodrome of Tarfaya - Cap Juby. St Exupery was appointed in 1927 as head of this platform where the "Aeropostale" fleet was making a technical stop. This aerodrome is definitely closed but it opens once year to let the participants to the rally "Toulouse - St Louis du Senegal" land on this mythic RWY made of hard sand. Notice that the sides of the RWY are made of soft sand. The only place to park the planes is on the RWY sides! Take-offs and landings are made between the aircrafts... More: Patrick De Coninck
