Remark Photographer
One of the most amazing approaches in the world, Hamilton Island located in the Whitsundays in Northern Queensland. The runway leaves little room for error in case of an undershoot or overshoot due to the water, definitely an amazing place to visit.

I remember seeing a photo in the HTI terminal of a Condor DC-8 which carried a group of German tourists to the Great Barrier Reef in the early 90's. A great job to safely land that baby on Hamo!

Beautiful azure sea hues & tones! I'm in the UK, shortly to be starting my PPL training, but I would love to visit, especially fly-in to some airfields like this one in Australia! Thanks for posting

Ive flown there on a JQ 717 about 4 years ago. And it was a great approach through all the islands. 737s land there too.

Outstanding scenery, but just the thought of an engine failure during takoff is scary.

That's a very short runway. If you end up under or over-shooting the mark, your airplane could end up in the drink. Amazing how the blue waters in the background blend in with the airport scenery. 5*.

Fantastic colors. Just look at the water short of the runway. Great content also... just what it would look like on final.
