The nicest picture of Gibraltar I have seen so far, and the best in giving an overall view and feeling for the airport and surrounding area.

Great pic! I was living 8 months in that white appartment building next to the marina. If I remember correctly it's called Neptune House.
Was great to see the planes so close! And it was great to fly from GIB to Tangier!

Good photo. N.b. in the free world it is actually called the Bay of Gibraltar rather than 'Algeciras bay', Algeciras was but a tiny hamlet when Gibraltar first a significant port / anchorage. However to depoliticise things, perhaps we can just call it 'the bay' rather than putting names on it - the name in the Spanish press seems to change whenever there is bad news to bay of Gibraltar regardless of the story only taking place in spain.

In Spain we call it "Bahía de Algeciras" regardless if you like it or not. Anyway, in the "free world" countries honour treaties like Utrecht's one.

Definetely it is named "Algeciras Bay", since the largest piece of land which forms it is spanish. Its like the Brits who named the "English Channel" to the pice of water that separates their Island from Europe, which is named "La Manche" in France. So I guess we shouldn´t call Europeans to the british, right?. Anyhow, i guess that unfortunately for you, you also speak spanish, and you also call it "Bahia de Algeciras".

"the pi(e)ce of water that separates their Island from Europe" - ypu no doubt mean "... from the Continent". Or has the motherland already ceased to be part of Europe? ;-)

Excellent shot! It's British so it's called Gibraltar, like it or not.
