A fire accident happened in an aerobridge construction site in ZBAA, aerobridge in Bay 217 is currently renovated for the brand new China Southern A380 which will be delivered in October. However, the airport fire brigade reacted very quickly, the fire was put out in just a few minutes. Well done fire brigade!

Interesting photo, especially given the clear day in Beijing. As a passenger on that United 747, I was very surprised looking to my left out the window on the takeoff roll.

Glad to hear this incident was sorted quickly!

Two comments above are apt, since I was a passenger on the left window of the upper deck of that UAL747. My thoughts are along the lines of those mentioned above. When I returned to the US, there was nothing about this in the press, but there were cellphone photos online.

Great picture. Wonder if anyone from the United flight took a picture or a video, too.

The united passenger in the background must be deeply intrigued by the fire... Interesting shot!
