Interesting photo, especially given the clear day in Beijing. As a passenger on that United 747, I was very surprised looking to my left out the window on the takeoff roll. | |

Two comments above are apt, since I was a passenger on the left window of the upper deck of that UAL747. My thoughts are along the lines of those mentioned above. When I returned to the US, there was nothing about this in the press, but there were cellphone photos online. | |
