A visitor from United States posted Mon February 18, 2013: Love it! A new angle for the oft-photographed SXM! It does make the runway seem shorter than it is, however, only adding to the mystique of this place! I can't help thinking the island went to a lot of trouble to re-route the roadway around the airport only to add about 100 meters to the length! There must be great views from the road of the aircraft at the new turnaround spot though!
