Bruntingthorpe didn't show up on our GPS as it's no longer an active airport so it was a big surprise to overfly this graveyard enroute EGPH-EGTC.

Why are all those cars parked off the runway? What other operations happen at this facility?

Those classics tell a story of the aviation scene decades ago and how the old order changeth. Can someone educate me how different ship-breaking is from aircraft-breaking in terms of toxicity and environmental damage.

Those cars look like being at a storage yard for new builds, guessing from the similar coloured ones parked together.

The airfield is still active for storage and media use and there is a museum there.
