Opened in 1917, Biggin Hill was one of the most famous RAF bases during World War 2 when Hurricanes and Spitfires flew from here. Converted into a civil airport now, with an ongoing dispute between the local council and the airport regarding a permit to operate passenger flights. For now the only passengers using this terminal building are very rich and often famous people who lease entire bizjets. The control tower can also be seen here.
