Extremely sad to see such changes taking place at Kai Tak - part of the former runway is now used to store the sand for reclamation, and part of it is used as a carpark as indicated on the right of this photo. On the left, some remote bays near Kowloon Bay have now become a bus depot. Tall buildings like the one at the centre have been built near Kai Tak. Luckily the control tower is still here, which is near the old residential buildings on the left. To my surprise, this is the 3400th photo of Kai Tak!

Are you sure that tall one in the middle was not there before.

Hope they kept the control tower. The Fire station at the waterfront is still there in 2010 luckily.

Amazing to see how small the area was and so much going on.
