But maybe those vessel are waiting for to be scrapped? think the scrapyard is located on the beach. (on the most right side op pict. visible)

I did not had a clue where this airport was situated so I looked it up: It's about 500 miles south from Tenerife, Canary Islands (TFS,790 KM)beneath the western Sahara!
