Overlooking Samlesbury Aerodrome (EGNG). This is the home of BAe Systems where the English-Electric Lighting and Canberra were manufactured many years ago. They now build the fuselage for the Eurofighter, JSF / F-35 Lightening amongst other aircraft at this site. The airfield is largely disused, apart from Bowland Forest Glider Club on an infrequent basis and light RAF training aircraft. This photo was taken from Mellor Moor observation point, about 2.5 Km east of the aerodrome, which looks out over the Lancashire plain and Ribble Valley at a height of 223m above sea level.
