A visitor from United States posted Tue December 20, 2005:This reminds me very much of the plane I flew years ago while in the air force. It was the dehavilland, l-20. A tail-dragger that we used for administrative visits to the 'high-line' radar sites along the Canadian border. Even though it was a fixed gear aircraft - - - we had hydraulic operated 'skis' that were adapted to the main gear that we could hand pump down or up from the cockpit. Also, the elevator & aileron control was on a 'yolk' that by pulling a pin, we could swivel it from over from the left pilot seat to the right co-pilot seat. The left pilot seat had full rudder & brake control - - while the right seat had only rudder control, but no brake capability. | |
