A 2nd photo I must share with you taken by my father duringWW II. From books that I have read, this aricraft was apparently the world's first jet bomber. First appeared in 1943 and was intended to fill a Luftwaffe requirement for a high speed recon A/C - 1st flight was June 15,1943. !st recon flight was late 1944 and bombing duties followed on Xmas eve 1944.

Extraordinary photo! This plane was its tim ahead for 10 years. Only weak point was the engines, Jumo 003. Build to carry special bombs (nukes).
