From a photographic point-of-view, this is a standard record shot; however, for me, it brings back many, many memories of the times I flew on Loftleidir CL-44s between New York and Luxembourg City. At the time, I didn't realize this great old bird had the largest passenger capacity on the North Atlantic run or that it was the first aircraft to have actual overhead bins. The aircraft may have been slow -- 13 hours elapsed time between JFK and LUX -- but it was very smooth and very quiet.

A lovely example of late-50s/early-60s modern design
