Remark Photographer
That's Siberia ! We fly westbound to Europe, 68 degrees north latitude, 1 p.m. local time. One of few southbound flights in the area, originating from the polar region, crosses our route perpendicularly, 20 miles ahead of us, 1.000 meters below. They are getting a very fast early afternoon sunrise. We enjoyed during several hours the wonderful colours of sunset, before the sun rose again over Finland. Simply magic !

I really like this pic because it really gives you the sense of ther actual size and scale of the contrail instead of imagining from the ground. once again - great pic!!

The coloration of this photo is stunning, and the fact that 'chemtrails' don't dissipate like contrails is very evident here. the trail just seems like a solid gnarled piece of rope that hangs on nothing like a rock.
