N93119 (cn 20083/153) Final for 27 left at LHR. This B.747 was lost after a mid air explosion after departing New York for Paris on the 17th of July 1996. All souls on board perished on that day. R.I.P.

Dedication to Die Hard Fans of Trans World Airlines. The airline operated from 1930 to 2001. TWA was one of the largest domestic U.S. airlines with flights from St. Louis to most major U.S. cities.
July 17, 1996: TWA Flight #800 by member September11
Aircraft: N93119 (741). Route: JFK-CDG. 212 Passengers & 18 Crew Members. At around 8:31 p.m., few minutes after take off, the plane's fuel tank sparked and exploded in mid-air off Long Island. The plane disintegrated and plunged into the Atlantic Ocean.
