I do not understand The reason european and rest of the world still buy american, european or Brasilian aircraft, much more expensive than this Il96.

It is very unique because there's nothing else that resembles this beautiful bird. I really don't understand why more airlines haven't bought this plane, I mean although it doesn't have a center console, I'm sure Ilyushin can modify this plane to any customer requests. It's very distinctive and draws way more attention then the boring Boeings and Aircrash (I mean Airbus). I would love to see this Aircraft in person as I have never encountered this beauty. This is a great, clean, and exciting picture! Thank you!

A visitor from Estonia posted Fri October 7, 2005: Thanks everyone for your good comments! This plane is a brand new Il-96 and the first of 2 ordered for Cubana. It was shown at International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2005 and because it is not delivered yet there was a cover on the carpet. I think those little things in the seat backs are either air-conditioners or small lamps. As I know to buy this plane Cuba took credit from Russian government. Andrei Nesvetaev
