I was 16 at the time and was a junior in high school. The school year had just started. For me, it was just like any other day - get up; get dressed; eat breakfast; and go to school. However, my parents told me the news when I woke up and I saw the events unfold throughout the day in every class I was in. God bless the souls who survived and died on that dreadful day.

I was just a 8 year old kid watching his favourite cartoons on TV, when suddenly all transmissions were interrupted to give us the terrible news. It was a shock... see those aircraft crashing into the twin towers. Very sad. :'( Indeed, this is another example of the cruelty of the man... but really, I'm still unable to understand why such things can happen. Why killing lots of innocent people... Why having such a taste for the violence... ...Why... Anyway, I'd like to share my thought for those people killed in the terroristic act, as well as for their family. Rest in peace. MAtteo S.

I was only 11 at the time and it was just two weeks before I was going to America for the first time. It just makes me feel all those things I did on that day and even though I'm not American, I still cried and mourned with the people who lost family members and it is something that changed my mind on how life is so special when I was younger. God bless America x

I'm from Germany and i've been to Ground Zero twice and it always was a strong feeling... I'll return next year and visit this place for sure.
