A visitor from Lebanon posted Fri January 20, 2006: I just figured that since the aircraft belongs to Boeing (as written in the photo description in the "airline" field) that box on top of the autopilot would most probably be part of a recording system that they use to record data during flight testing. The digits on that thing would be a time counter similar to those seen on tape recorders.

A visitor from United States posted Sat December 24, 2005: I like how this shot captures the flightdeck from an angle so you get to see more of the stuff to the sides. It also gives a better perspective of how much room there is. I am curious what that taxi fare meter looking box is doing atop a 777 dashboard (I'm not very familiar with these things, glaresheild maybe a more accurate term?)?
