XM106 / S (cn 1042) One of the few Beverleys camouflaged before the type was withdrawn from service. Shown here in 84 Squadrons markings, the aircraft was written off 21st June 1967. 84 Squadron later re-equipped with Andover C.1 aircraft

A visitor from United States posted Mon September 19, 2011: Frolm the aerodynamics perspective must have been a very hard aircraft to control. More a Cargo Glider, Lumbering Giant. Minimal Rough Field capability for the Desert. thought this one was used in the "Flight of the Phoenix"
