Unbelievable take. Beauty of earth and a touch of aviation included. Recently I saw a BBC doucumentary about Malta in WOII, a heroic effort was made by the Royal Navy and Air Force (remember Hope, Faith and Charity! at least one of those a Gloster Gladiator with two wings WOI style!), but not least by the people of Malta themselves, they were bombed heavily, for some time they inhabited the most bombed place on earth even! but they held out, and their efforts were recognised by the British Royal House who gave Malta as a whole a royal distinction. Malta for the wind!
Lovely capture. It's unbelievable how few photos online I can find of Malta from above! Great shot!

I Have been up this runway in a B757 and it was a great ride!!!
WOW! This is by far the best aerial shot I've seen in my life. Must have been a very lucky moment for you to get the entire archipelago in great clarity. Even Gozo and Comino are clearly visible! 5 STARS!
Marvelous thank´s, mike
Unusual angle.....certainly a shot against the flow

There's not too many countries in the world that you can capture in whole at 17 000ft. Malta is one of them. An awesome shot!

Bellissimo! That's an excellent photo; keep up the great work! -MCS, New York
Hi, I've been there 3 years ago. What a nice shot ! Luqa is largely visible, Valletta ans Marxxasla too !!! Viva Malta ! What a great little country, and a great shot from you. THANKS
Great photo with a "measuring stick" to give one an idea of how large the island is. I think you might have mixed up your runway building materials though as I do believe they would use concrete instead of asphalt on a runway surface.
Great overview shot of a very beautiful island.
...at least one of the longest on Malta.
Fantastic photo! All the three islands on one picture - what a small land. Thanks for sharing with us.
