A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sun February 28, 2010: I remember being surprised by this aircraft the first time I saw it in Damascus in the 1980s. Sadly, looking at Google Earth today (Feb 2010) the aircraft/restaurant has now disappeared from its former location. (Lat 33.514881°, Long 36.318291°) It looks as though the whole site has been demolished. I wonder what happened to the aircraft?
