Aircraft Taken at More: NWA Airlink (Pinnacle Airlines) More: Canadair CL-600-2B19 Regional Jet CRJ-200 More: Tulsa - International (Municipal) (TUL / KTUL) More: USA - Oklahoma, April 2, 2006 Remark Photographer N801AY (cn 8001) On 3/31/06 a brief F1 tornado touchdown over TUL. The winds from the storm caused ground service equipment to ram into the nose cone of the plane. A visitor from United States posted Wed August 9, 2006: The Tornado was embedded in the storm. There was so much rain that the radar could not give a clear sounding on the circulation. Even the National Weather Service did not see it! Lucky all the flights were over for the day and there weren't large numbers of people at the airport when it struck! Nice photo, you can really see the damage.
