A visitor from United States posted Wed July 12, 2006:
Absolutely breathtaking to see an airplane this big, this low. I missed a similar shot a couple of years ago and now I don't go out without a camera.

Great shot...
It's very, very sad that this airline won't exist any more in the near future :-(

A visitor from United States posted Wed June 14, 2006:
Shouldn't the gear and flaps be down this close to the ground.

A visitor from Brazil posted Sun June 11, 2006:
Just Breathless, I may say! What a wonderful shot of a spectacular and historical airplane and amazing airline, I must say. Go Varig!

It's a rare moment in aviation, to watch this size of aircraft in a low pass over Bacacheri runway, that is a executive airport near downtown of Curitiba (Parana - Brazil)

I was a passenger on this flight.. it was briefed by the crew . safe and exciting . Great experience !!!

A visitor from Portugal posted Mon May 8, 2006:
They diverted a comercial flight to do this? What do you mean? There were passengers on board? :/

A visitor from Italy posted Mon May 8, 2006:
STOP! if the plane was enroute to CWB, does it means that it has been diverted while carrying passengers? if yes, they experienced the best show in their life...if yes, Varig managers must be just crazy!

A visitor from United States posted Mon May 8, 2006:
Cool.

A visitor from Kazakhstan posted Sun May 7, 2006:
Only super . No Comment .

A visitor from United States posted Sun May 7, 2006:
Diverting a flight just for a photo? No wonder why Varig is almost bankrupt.

A visitor from France posted Sun May 7, 2006:
I have already seen pix like this one but to thank the crew for their diversion, I will give this picture a 5 star rating.
