N3800L / 2103993/597 (cn 422-8342) There are only about 20 of these fine aircraft remaining in the world. This one was built in June, 1945 as Air Force serial# 44-53087 and saw some combat action in World War 2 before being sold as an aerial survey plane. Now restored and painted as another P-38 flown by Maj. Richard Bong & named "Marge" for his fiancee.
