Remark Photographer
I-DIKQ (cn 47227/334) 23 Dec 1978: At about 00:39 a.m. local time DC-9-32 I-DIKQ (named "Isola di Stromboli"), flight number AZA 4128, flying an extra-flight for the Christmas season from Rome Fiumicino to Palermo, crashed in the sea shortly before landing on runway 21 at Punta Raisi airport. I took this picture in an old car storehouse in Villabate (Palermo). Low quality picture depends on the fact that the original one is a 35mm colour slide.

Sad but fascinating, don't always get to see this sort of thing. According to Wikipedia all five crew members and 103 of 124 passengers were killed here, and yet they put it out in a junkyard for 10 years.
