N301LS / 3 (cn 1) This is Burt Rutan's design of an aircraft for the Biplane Class of the Reno Air Races. First flown in 1981, it was destroyed in a crash at the 1983, but the pilot, Dan Mortenson was uninjured. The remains were glued back together and now hang above a bar in the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno. I would like to thank the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino for permission to photograph in their facility.

Colorful composition, excellent exposure in difficult lighting. It is simply a striking photograph!
