VH-XBA (cn 17696/29) Almost ready for the long flight home. The Qantas Memorial Foundation have done a great job. Most of the work has been done outside come rain or shine, and some very long hours by the crew to get it to stage. Nice to hear the engines run today. And a big thanks to PS for the great tug work just as the sun came out.

Stunning photo - I love the way the sky is overcast, the ground is wet, and the aircraft is highlighted as though in a spotlight. Brilliant subject also - thank god this great machine is going home to Australia for preservation!

A visitor from Australia posted Sun November 26, 2006:
It's the subject as much as the shot.

November 2006 and someone's committed to conserve and display this important aircraft.
