A visitor from United States posted Fri January 12, 2007: The big plane in the foreground, with the Luxor and Mandalay, etc., behind, and then the magnificent Sierra. Levels from contemporary, huge but ordinary--to fake melding of ancient and modern, intentional anachronisms--to ancient, timeless mountains. The first and last time we visited Las Vegas, in 2004, we checked into the Luxor and were told that our room didn't have a view. I imagined an airshaft; instead we looked out on the Sierra. I loved that view more than anything else we saw in Las Vegas. Maybe that explains why this photo resonates with me.
