9332 / 2-B-13 The Curtiss-Wright BFC-2 was an inter-war biplane, primarily a light bomber. This example was flown by the High Hats squadron of the USS Saratoga. With their BFC-2s, the squadron were the first to develop dive-bombing tactics. This original Goshawk is one of only two remaining in the world (the other is reportedly in Poland). Preserved at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, FL. |
