A visitor from New Zealand posted Sat June 28, 2008:My guess is:a fairly long time exposure on a calm nigh since the clouds appear to be almost stationary, followed by a burst from an extremely strong strobe as the aircraft passes overhead. Other than that, quite a bit of Photoshop... In either case some patience is required ! A most pleasant image ! | |

I like the clarity of the ground, the plane centered between steel tower posts, the orange reflected sky, the stars twinkling above it, the solid streaking wing lights of the aircraft. There are hundreds of wide angle photos.But i don't remember seeing a single shot that combines those tricks and this image quality. The definition in impressive and a proof of that is the clarity of the green and red lights. Simply amazing. | |
