A visitor from - posted Sat June 18, 2011:But it sure IS a very nice photo!
A visitor from - posted Sat June 18, 2011:To the visitor from Canada: It will ONLY be missed by those like you who only saw them. :-) Those who flew them know that it really IS a unique plane. I have no idea how they managed to do so, but EACH window seat is located RIGHT between the winows so no view (very similar to the new Air Canada business class btw :-D). The bang on your ears at take-off and landing is appalling and so is the noise, especially in the tail, where those engines seems to roar without any sound insulation at all. It was a good plane for its time, but I won't miss it. As Leo Tolstoy said, "let the dead bury the dead".
A visitor from United States posted Wed December 15, 2010:I had the chance to fly many and many times on TU-154;unique sensations:view, interior, smell of carburant, hotess, noise, depart & landing.
A visitor from Canada posted Wed December 15, 2010:3 and half years after seeing this photograph for the first time, I still think it is among the most powerful shots of the Tu-154 ever. The Aeroflot Tu-154 will be missed by many - some who flew them and some like me who only ever saw them in photo.
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Wed December 15, 2010:The best craft
A visitor from United States posted Sat November 6, 2010:I love how you captured the smoke coming off the tires as well as the reversers kicking in. I always liked the TU-154...a nice quiet and smooth riding plane, not to mention one of the most beautiful looking designs ever made.
A visitor from - posted Sat November 6, 2010:On most western aircraft you can select reverse with the mainwheel on the ground, the remark about the nosegear needing to be on the is wrong. Most russian aircraft you can select reverse in the flare. The IL-62 is a great example of this, the two outer engines reversing, just amazing.
A visitor from United States posted Sat November 6, 2010:Excellent shot. Just like the visitor from Brazil posted, the lines and design of the T-tail trijets like this one, the HS trident and the wonderful 727 are simply beautiful.
A visitor from - posted Sat November 6, 2010:Cool shot, stunning capture.
A visitor from - posted Sat October 16, 2010:AWESOME PIC!!!!
A visitor from United Kingdom posted Tue May 18, 2010:I remember when TU´s from diff. airlines came to Duesseldorf on a regular basis. Miss that unique sound. Rating 4.
A visitor from Brazil posted Wed May 5, 2010:Very nice angle! .. I always liked the "design and style" of the trijets cousins B727, Tu154 and the very old Hawker Siddeley HS-121 Trident 1E - clean wings...
A visitor from Sweden posted Fri March 19, 2010:This is one of my favorite planes. Used to see it at Stockholm-Arlanda from time to time, love that mean look!
A visitor from - posted Thu March 18, 2010:To the person from Denmark: You will find other photos of Tu-154 with the thrust reversers engaged before even one wheel touches the ground. Most aircraft have a system that locks the reverser if there is no pressure on the nose wheel. After the Lauda flight 004 crash, i think. But i find that the Russians trust the pilot more, and i like that :)
A visitor from Croatia posted Mon July 6, 2009:Great plane, and one of the most greatest airlines!
A visitor from United States posted Sun April 12, 2009:Great shot! and to the guy from Denmark, yes, I think it is normal to put the reverse thrust on, as long as all of the back wheels are down
A visitor from Denmark posted Sun April 12, 2009:Reverse thrusters are in use before all wheels on ground. It that a normal situation?
A visitor from - posted Wed February 18, 2009:I have flown on this type since childhod many many times! I still remeber that they used other type of carrier colours - all white and blue stripe along the windows runnig Aeroflot above. This picture was made in Warsaw - I was there 2 years ago and flew this very Tu154! Very nice flight, comfy seats and nice service! )) Fly Aeroflot! ))
A visitor from United States posted Sun October 5, 2008:Love the reverse thrusters!

A visitor from - posted Mon March 24, 2008:This proves there is a sexy side to every beast. Great shot, I now feel so positivly towards the TU154...
A visitor from Cape Verde posted Tue December 11, 2007:Yes the best plane ever produced in Soviet Union ( Russia).
