This picture gives the viewer a perfect idea of the physical composition of the City of Merida, the relationship between the developed areas with apartment complexes and the airport in the middle. The location of the city between the mountains becomes clear and it entices the viewer to consider a visit to see the wonder and beauty first hand. I, for one, can hardly wait to see it. Raymond R. This photo captures the compact layout of Merida and provides an idea of the general topography. It appears much the way I remember it from the 1990s. Saludos, Timothy Swallow, Cincinnati OH, USA
This is a scary airport to land and take off from. The approach through the mountains in a DC-9 was fun, the departure in a B727 was even more scary!
