ZK-NZQ (cn 46911/189) A rare In-Flight 'Economy' Cabin View (looking forward) in an Air New Zealand DC-10, flying between Sydney and Auckland in 1980. Photo taken (as Flight Attendants served refreshments) when we flew in ZK-NZQ across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand. The previous year ANZ 'sister-ship' ZK-NZP had crashed into Mt Erebus in Antarctica (on 28Nov1979, due to a navigation programming error) with the tragic loss of 257 lives (RIP). That was Flight TE901, the fourteenth ANZ scenic flight to Antarctica.
