A visitor from United States posted Wed June 4, 2008:US Naval aircraft don't use landing lights during carrier landings. I'm not sure why it's there but it's definitely a strobe hence the telling effects on the intake and flaps. Notice the deck-edge power cord on the EA-6B pod. (That's what I used to do.) :)
A visitor from Indonesia posted Thu January 3, 2008:Great photo. And well composite.
A visitor from United States posted Thu January 3, 2008:Wow, I'm impressed by how well the photographer managed to get the plane to just appear to be hanging in the air motionless. The light reflection on the landing gear is gravy.
A visitor from United States posted Sun December 30, 2007:The "strobe light" is actually the landing light on the nose gear. I was an airframe mech on F18's with VFA125 out of NASL from 89'-93'. A quality pic none the less and brings back great memories. I truly miss being at sea. Thank you.
A visitor from United States posted Sat December 29, 2007:Kick Ass! I love these Super-Bees!!! I've always thought these things even look like a real hornet. So, I guess the carrier is the nest! Very good photo.
A visitor from Sweden posted Sat December 29, 2007:Easily the best military photo on a.net! It's just so hard to put the finger on what's so great with it, so I'll just go all in and say that everything is good about it!
A visitor from United States posted Sat December 29, 2007:What a great first shot for a.net! You perfectly froze this moment in time. 5/5
