A visitor from United States posted Mon January 11, 2010: Looks like development has stalled. From the photo dated April 2007 the building on the left is close to completion, yet 2 years later it still sits vacant. The plan for the site is for a cruise terminal and new residential developments.

A visitor from Singapore posted Sun September 13, 2009: I'm not too sure about the final masterplan for the former airport... some earlier proposals I saw called for a golf course, but most likely that strip of land will turn into a series of smaller islands and become home to waterfront commercial developments. And those tall apartment buildings in the runway's path... emerged only after the airport closed and building height restrictions were lifted!

A visitor from Germany posted Sun September 13, 2009: You can still see the Footall Ground . . . and than Imagine the Cathay 742 turning into the Runway only a few feet over Kowloon. I have never seen this and I will never see this ever in my live.
