Toowoomba Airport, then known as Wilsonton Aerodrome, was first used in 1911. In the late 1920's it saw it's first commercial airline operations in the form of a QANTAS service which ran between Archerfield, Roma, Charleville and finally Longreach. In 1938 it was included in the Brisbane-London air route serviced by QANTAS DH-86's.
