Remark Photographer
PH-BUF (cn 20400/157) Amazing what can be found going through old negatives. Photo is not best quality but the aircraft is infamous. On 27 March 1977 this aircraft, as Flight 4805, collided with Pan Am 747-121 N736PA on the runway at Tenerife, Canary Island, with the loss of 583 lives. Still the worlds worst aviation disaster.

A breath taking shot, you can just see the passengers being set back in their seat A picture on take off shows the power these big birds have.

I like it because is a picture of the real plane that unfortunately crashed. This picture is historical and to be 32 years old is very clear. Someone out there did a great job taking it.

Very nice historic shot! Much like the quick moment you shot this picture, it's very sad to think about how a small time frame of bad judgment could lead to such a huge sad moment in history. Wish this picture meant nothing to anyone other than an early 747 shot. :(

Great shot George, black and white typifies the period and sad to think that so many innocent people were killed on this aircraft

These aircrafts/air crew were all destroyed in aviation accidents. The crews walked away in some but not in all. RIP.
