N82FA / 153 (cn 35960/354) Seen at Ramona (RNM) approx 30 miles northeast of SAN. Previously with USAAF as 45-0507. Sold during February 2006 to Mr. R. Brooks. Sadly, W/O January 17, 2007 at Nenana, Alaska with Brooks Air Fuel as N82FA while attempting to route Fairbanks, Alaska to Nixon Fork Mine, Alaska. Aircraft had inflight fire in #2 engine which couldn't be extinquished. While attempting return to Fairbanks, pilot had to make wheels up landing approx 5 miles from Nenana. Remains of C-54G still at Nenana.
