This is the "Whisper" Helicopter featured in the Arnold Schwarzenneger film "The 6th Day" : Interesting design encompassing jet turbines and wings, no tail rotar.

A really unique aircraft. Too bad the photographer wasn't able to submit any information on what Scaled's planning to do with it.

A visitor from France posted Fri May 5, 2006:
Really beautiful !! [Quoting : this doesnt heve a tail rotor does it?] But helicopters con fly without it, if the main rotor is for example, moved by air (under high pressure) expulsed at the end of the rotor wings

Used in the movie the 6th day, some people say it works others say it only flew attached to a crane in the movie. Has a engine that makes the rotor spin made from an augusta helicopter.

Fantastic! Hmmm, looks like one of the employees owns it. It would be a great personal helicopter.

A visitor from Brazil posted Sat January 14, 2006:
Looking at this blades, it seems this machine will fly with the rotor stopped, like an airplane, and like a helicopter. But if it does, an elevator is missing =P
Cool pic!
