PP-FGI (cn 094-B) On May 12 2001, it was on a cross-country navigation instruction flight, over the route Londrina-Foz do Iguaçu-Londrina. While returning to Londrina, it ran into adverse weather and the instructor decided to try to land on a highway about 100 km from their destination. On final approach, the aircraft's left wing hit some trees, causing abrupt deceleration and throwing it to the ground, where it came to rest upside down. There were no fatalities and the aircraft was severely damaged. |
