TR-LTZ (cn 46053/446) It was a foggy morning when the DC-8 got clearance for take off on runway 18, operating a German Cargo service to JFK. But instead of lining up on the runway the crew accidently turned into the parallel taxiway (only 1200m long) and speeded up. Take off was aborted and the aircraft stopped after 700m in soft ground with 2 engines torn off. This photo was taken one day after the incident.
