RA-85667 (cn 89A825) Engine was destroyed at takeoff run. Fire fighting system worked perfect and was able to extinguish fire without external involvement. Nobody was injured. However plane was seriously damaged.

Russian built planes are amongst the best in the world, yes i agree accidents are probably the cause of bad maintenance.

Right! A very good shot! but there's a mistake in comment, my friends. We mustn't forget the crash of AFL's Tu154 in this very LED in 1991. CCCP-85097.

Very interesting pic! And it makes us realize that Tu-154M is a reliable plane: a fire in the engine is something really serious, yet the plane could land back and no one was injured. Many accidents happened with this aircraft recently, but it seems that they are due to bad maintenance or handling. Aeroflot, a world-class airline, didn't have any accident with loss of lives involving the Tu-154 since 1985.
