CCCP-76464 (cn 98413) The awful end of proud airliner. Absolutely stupid decision of the East-Line Group caused big public condemnation. They needed more space to build a new parking lot. First they told us that the Tu-114 will be restored. But... You can see the worker with a saw, cutting off a detail in the nose of the plane, and flowers and a memorable photo near the base of the monument, assigned by enthusiasts on the day earlier on the farewell/protesting meeting. Good-Bye, Tu-114! Heavy rain and bad weather...

It is inconceivable that with all of the many billions of fresh Rubles pouring into Russia every day they could not have found any way to save this extremely rare and magnificent machine. Absolutely sickening. My heart breaks!

One of the sadest day of not only russian aviation history. Shame on East-Line! Or do they think there is no place for car park in Russia??? I took many pictures of this monument. Do you know East-Line sold the Tu-114 for about 75000 USD to a metal scraper? Pozor...
