A visitor from - posted Fri April 9, 2010: This is the most amazing photo I've ever seen of this crash. It only underscores the tragedy of the TU-144 program. The Soviet Supersonic jet was doomed from the start, but it's fate was sealed by the reality that the TU-144 was a product of the Soviet Union, where it didn't enjoy the audience of Millionaires and literati who were able to pay a fortune to make the Franco-British Concorde the illustrious success it eventually became...for years, prior to that one fateful takeoff outside Paris in 2000.
