CCCP-77102 / 451 (cn 01-2) Taking off for its display during which it crashed. During its display going straight up, and on top going in a dive to regain speed. When it pulled up a large white piece (wing) came off on the right side and the TU-144 crashed.

I dont really mind whether this was copied in any way from Concorde, or the other way around... Just like her western sister a very cool machine, and I regret that it crashed; I think that after the British Airways old colour scheme Concordes(Landor without the (near-black) blue belly), this Aeroflot Tupolev makes for the coolest looking Supersonic bird I've seen, I find this perhaps even more cool (and certainly more authentic) looking than the Pepsi Concorde, and the one with SIA titles on one side.

Perfect and rather rare capture of this gorgeous machine's take-off.

Fabulous shot, french tv shot the crash but unfortunately it was in black and white and awful, this is a piece of history as we frenchmen always thought tu-144 was the result of hard work from kgb agents spying concorde...
