I recall my dad taking me to VDNKH some 30 years ago, I remember taking one of my first girlfriends kissing next to this beauty... I remember very friendly guy who was in charge of this museum installation helping us alot with making a movie on Tu-154... And despite the efforts of people's organization to save this one-of-the-first planes intact, it is now sawn to dust... SO SAD ((((((((((((( | |

For many years it was demonstrated at the "Exhibition of Achievements of Science and Technology"; it was never meant to be there forever. This aircraft was an achievement in 1970-80s; maybe it is time to move on and put up something recent, like the Tu-334, for example. | |

At leat they could have waited till the October, 4th ---- It's a jubilee, 40 years since THAT VERY machine took the very first flight. The birthday of Tu-154. That could show some respect to The Thing... if storage wants that lot of money. | |
