LV-BBU (cn 24883/823) "Beauty and the Beast" having a close encounter at EZE. The Grupo Marsans, owner of Aerolineas Argentinas and Air Comet, placed an order for 4 A380s; 2 for AR and 2 for Air Comet. The A380 will be use mainly in the EZE-MAD route, replacing the 747s, which will always be the "Queen of the Skies".

Yes exactly!! a380 is the beast and the 747 is the beauty!!! but in a few years the 747-8 Intercontinental will be the beast and the beauty!!!

but the 747-4 -3 -2 -1 will be the queen of the skies 4EVER!!!!!!!

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 29, 2009:
The 747 just needs a quick update (wich is the 748i, already in the works), and when it rolls out, it'll be the queen and the beast!

A visitor from Trinidad And Tobago posted Thu September 17, 2009:
Hmmmm.....one man's garbage is another man's treasure. Sure the A380 is not as "sleek" looking (from a purely aesthetic view anyway...the aerodynamics are another story altogether ^_^)...one could argue the 747s hump is more hunchback of notre dame than queen of the skies. And you have to admit the A380s gullwings are quite spectacular

A visitor from - posted Fri August 14, 2009:
The 747 look's better and it should because it does'nt have 2 decks.747 may be the beauty but the A380 is the BEAST.

A visitor from United States posted Sun August 2, 2009:
Do you think, if they get closer, they'll collapse into each other by the weight of their own gravities and super nova? I'm pretty sure I do.

A visitor from Italy posted Fri June 19, 2009:
B747 is, and always will be the Queen...

A visitor from United States posted Fri June 19, 2009:
I've always had this theory, if the A380 made its nose sharper and made the cockpit higher, it would look more elegant.

A visitor from Argentina posted Mon June 8, 2009:
Long life to the 747!!! It was, is, and will be the QUEEN OF THE SKIES and the greatest airliner of all the times!

A visitor from United States posted Mon June 8, 2009:
This truly is a rare site! I am amazed at the amount of ramp space!

A visitor from India posted Tue May 19, 2009:
The 747 has a grace like few other.!!
The 380 is a work horse!!

A visitor from Argentina posted Mon February 23, 2009:
Excelent picture i gave it 5 stars!!

A visitor from - posted Mon April 28, 2008:
Lovely shot mate. But I have to say the 747 makes the a380 look hideous! The 747 is the jumbojet, I'd call the a380 the is chubby.

A visitor from United States posted Mon April 14, 2008:
Goo B747!! whoohoo! long live the queen. :]

A visitor from - posted Mon April 14, 2008:

A visitor from Australia posted Thu December 27, 2007:
Fantastic capture of the two, I could not agree more - the 747 is truely the Queen - the A380 is truely the beast! The angle is perfect and the nice light gives this photo the 5 stars!

A visitor from United States posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Great photo,
soon we'll see both airplanes wearing AR livery!

A visitor from United States posted Wed December 26, 2007:
I could not agree more. The 747 will always be the queen of the skies and the 787 will always be the beast of the skies.

A visitor from - posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Yeah, exactly! Beauty and the Beast. I think the Beast is the A380 and the Beauty is the B747! No Doubt!

A visitor from - posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Congratulations for this perfect shot!

A visitor from - posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Love the last part of your comment, so true. I hope the 747's are around long enough for me to get to fly on one.

A visitor from Canada posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Another great photo too compare the "jumbo jets" I still like the Boeing 747.
Amazing Shot!

A visitor from Germany posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Who is the beauty und who is the beast? ;-)

A visitor from - posted Wed December 26, 2007:
The B747 is and will be the Queen of the sky, no doubt. she is the beast. The A380, being the beauty, is the new "EMPRESS" of the sky. And Empress will always trump the Queen.

A visitor from Austria posted Wed December 26, 2007:
Cool pic! It's easy to see who's the Beauty!!! :-)

A visitor from Kuwait posted Tue December 25, 2007:
A380 Rocks!

A visitor from United States posted Tue December 25, 2007:
Two jumbos together - The 747 is still the most beautiful aircraft.

A visitor from United States posted Tue December 25, 2007:
The A380 just looks so.. Frumpy in this picture, compared the 747.

Each has it's individual charm, but the 747.. It's still more streamlined to me.

A visitor from Austria posted Tue December 25, 2007:
I cant say which one is the beauty and which one is the beast. its more like the new and the old. just look at the cockpit windows

A visitor from Netherlands posted Tue December 25, 2007:
Great shot. Whether I do like the A380 I have to agree. The B747 will always be the Queen. I do not see any other future aircraft will take this title.

A visitor from Spain posted Tue December 25, 2007:
A historical moment for sure. It will be sad to say goodbye to both always classic 742 and 742.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Tue December 25, 2007:
"beauty and the beast"? Which one is the beauty? :P I think I know the answer. Awesome picture! I love the 747, and it's nice to see it together with an A380
